NORTHEWEST WOODS BUNGALOW

40 JONATHAN DRIVE

This one-floor bungalow is situated in the Northwest Woods of the Hamptons, walking distance to town and the unique artist colonies in the Springs. It is the perfect weekend escape, surrounded by 100 year-old trees in one of the quietest part of the Hamptons. It is small enough to require minimal maintenance, but with enough rooms to hosts guests for those special holidays.

To make the most of the smaller bungalow footprint, rooms are open to the outside with large windows and steal framed doors, capturing the greenery of the summer and the warm colored leaves of fall. All the rooms are oriented around the living room, that was upgraded with wet bar and new fixtures (lighting, handles, built-ins) making it an entertainer’s dream.

Marked as a tear-down, the entire home was upgraded from the outside-in. New Hamptons white PVC siding not only modernizes the aesthetic of the home, it provides low maintenance protection from the ocean air. Many of the rooms have sky lights, that were upgraded to sustain any weather incident. Aged white oak floors were brought back to their peak condition, and flow wall-to-wall throughout the home.

Making the most of the existing floorplan meant upgrading the bathroom and the kitchens to reflect the bungalow’s modern architecture roots. A finished basement adds living space to the home, complete with high ceiling and built-in lighting to create the same tone as the main floor.
